The El Paso Film Festival Jury Members all chose their favorite films and presented their distinguished awards during the film festival. Through the philanthropic resources of the Paso Del Norte Community Foundation and its sponsors, the El Paso Film Festival awarded $5,000 in cash prizes between all the winning short and feature films.  Here are all the films that won at the 2019 El Paso Film Festival

Grand Jury Prize

BUILDING THE AMERICAN DREAM

Directed by Chelsea Hernandez

The 2019 Grand Jury Prize was presented to BUILDING THE AMERICAN DREAM. When deciding on the Grand Jury Award, the EPFF Jury awards the short or feature film with the most captivating story, values, and community impact. This award highlights the filmmaker and their film as the most praiseworthy of all the films submitted to the festival.

PORNO

The 2018 Best Feature Film (Narrative) award was presented to PORNO. When five teen employees at the local movie theater in a small Christian town discover a mysterious old film hidden in it’s basement, they unleash an alluring succubus who gives them a sex education...written in blood.

The 2019 Director Award was presented to RUNNING WITH BETO. The Director Award honors the filmmaker who has exemplified exceptional talent, storytelling, and perseverance in bringing their film to light. Being a filmmaker requires having a vision that challenges the imagination of the audience and also requires a lot of endurance when telling a story.

Producer Award

KINDRED SPIRTS

Produced by Michael Moran & Ash Christian

The 2019 Producer Awards was presented to KINDRED SPIRITS. The Producer Award is awarded to the Best Producing team by Carlos Corral, Artistic Director of the El Paso Film Festival and Producer at MindWarp Films. The Producer is tasked with making sure the film production has all of the necessary resources, cast, and crew in order to achieve the Director's vision.
